Meet Jon Moyer

It all started in 2022, I was tired of showing bad looking pigs and not being able to even pick them. Even though I was 10 years old, I still wanted nice looking pigs. So I thought to myself, what if I didn’t have to trust other people to pick my pig. What if I had my own pig business?

I put together a PowerPoint presentation and sat down with my parents then told them the game plan. Lucky enough my mom agreed. My dad didn’t like the idea at first, but since he and his dad have a long experience in pigs we finally got him over the fence.

In February we bought 3 gilts from an online auction by the name Trattles livestock and brought the pigs home. After that, the journey began.

We renovated the old pig barns my Grandpa used to farm his pigs out of and put the gilts in there. We waited until they were old enough to breed then used some commercial hog semen to kick it off.

Our first year was a rough start with one having no babies and birthing troubles. There was a bright side though. This year, and probably for many more, we got our hands on some show pig semen from Genetic Edge.

Ever since our first year we have got advice from other big businesses and have had a better experience overall with our hogs.

Our goal is to give you quality pigs at a decent price. As a 12 year old, living in a small town, I thank you for supporting me and my family.
